Make a duplicate of the new eye and flip it horizontally by pressing the Flip Horizontally button on the Infobar. 

Using the Quick Shapes Tool make a three sided star (a triangle).

Select the rectangle and Convert to Editable Shapes (Arrange menu). Using the Shape Editor Tool,  select one of the bottom corner nodes and nudge it towards to middle a bit. Do the same for the opposite node an equal amount.

You are remembering to save your work and take frequent eye breaks, right? Good.

Select the rectangle then the Shape Editor Tool. Drag the top center of the rectangle down into a curve.

Repeat the process on the bottom.

NOTE: Dragging on a straight line with the Shape Editor Tool automatically converts the line to a curve.

Using the Rectangle Tool, create a 16 x 20 pixel rectangle. Make two duplicates and position them overlapping the crescent shape as shown.

TIP: Another way to create a duplicate is drag and drop. Drag an object and before you release the left mouse button, click the right mouse button to drop a duplicate. Try it with the small rectangles. Drag the rectangle until it is in the right position, then right click to drop the duplicate.
