The Mould (Mold) Tool changes an object's, or group of object's, shape as we will see. When the Mould Tool is selected, two sets of buttons appear on the Infobar; the Envelope buttons, and the Perspective buttons. Each group has a Default button for individual control over the shape, and a group of preset buttons that apply a preset shape. The preset shape icons represent what the effect will be.

The Default Envelope button enables edit points on each corner of the envelope. Clicking upon one of these points causes Bezier handles to appear which can be dragged to alter the shape of the envelope. The contents reshape in real time.

Whereas the Default Envelope alters the object's shape with curves, the Default Perspective alters the shape of the envelope with straight sides.

Shown on the left is the same text with two preset Envelopes applied. You can see how the effect is mirrored in the icon on the button. Each of the preset effects can be further modified as shown in the previous illustration.

Several Mould effects can be added but the object must be Converted to Editable Shapes (Arrange menu) before a new Mould effect can be applied.

Along with a Remove button on the Infobar, which removes a Mould effect, there is a Copy and Paste icon with each group of buttons. These buttons Copy a mould shape from one object (providing a mould effect has been applied) and Paste the mould shape to a new object as seen here. The star and quail symbol at the bottom are the unaltered objects.
