We want to apply the same fill as
the center section of the pumpkin to the other 8 sections. We can use Copy and Paste Attributes to accomplish this.
Select the filled section and press Ctrl C to copy the fill attributes.
Select one of the unfilled sections and press Shift Ctrl A (or select Paste Attributes from the Edit menu). Repeat until all the sections are filled.
Make a duplicate of the pumpkin (
Ctrl K or Ctrl D) and set it aside for the moment.
Select the pumpkin, and from the Arrange menu, select Combine Shapes > Add Shapes. Add an outline and set the fill to none.
The outline shape is shown in the next illustration.
Create a 40 pixel diameter circle, and a
20 pixel diameter circle and arrange them as shown on the left of the illustration. Select both and Combine Shapes > Subtract Shapes. (Make sure the small circle is in front of the large circle first!)
Using the Rectangle Tool, draw a rectangle 130 by 20 pixels and center it as shown.
