The bulb gets darkest as it reaches the edge. The light to dark fall off accelerates as it rounds the edge.

To mimic this we'll use a Profile setting.

With the Elliptical Fill selected, press the Profile arrow on the Infobar. Select the preset profile shown on the left. Move the top slider to .65, or enter .65 in the text entry window. This accelerates the fill as it reaches the edges.

We'll make a crescent shape and a duplicate crescent shape to use for highlights on either side of the bulb. The highlights will add the impression of shiny glass.

Create a 155 pixel circle using the Ellipse Tool and holding down the Ctrl key to constrain the ellipse to a circle.

Make a duplicate and offset it to the right about 25 pixels.

Select both circles and from the Arrange pull down menu, select Combine Shapes > Subtract Shapes. The top circle goes bye bye and just the crescent shape remains.

(The red dotted line indicates where the top circle was before it went bye bye).

Position the crescent shape a little way in from the left. Make a duplicate and flop it using the Flip Horizontally icon (the two vertical purple triangles) on the Infobar and position it the same distance from the right side.

Select the left crescent shape and apply a Circular, Mix, transparency. The non-transparent end should be in the center and the 100% transparent end should be on the right. End the transparency a little bit before the center of the bulb.
