Make a duplicate of the two ellipses and change the fills using the two colors shown. |
Group each set of ellipses.
Reduce the width of each group to 40 pixels. Select the lighter group, then select the Freehand and Brush Tool. Press Create Brush on the Infobar and name your brush Gold Cord.
Draw a vertical line from the top down with the Freehand and Brush Tool. |
With the brush stroke and the Freehand and Fill Tool
selected, press Edit Brush. In the Spacing tabbed section, change the spacing amount to 50%. In the Rotation tabbed section, uncheck Rotate Along Path. Press Enter
to apply your changes. From the Set Line Width drop down list on the Infobar, change the line width to 6 pt. (Highlight the current setting, key in 6, and press Enter).
Select the darker ellipses and create a new brush and name it Dark Gold Cord. Modify this new brush using the same settings except make the line width 5 points. |
Select the Freehand and Brush Tool. From the
Select an Existing Brush drop down list on the Infobar, select the default line shape (the first entry). Add a series of 6 or more wavy lines as shown here. The lines should be very close on top and separate
towards the bottom. |
