Select the Bevel Tool. Click on the thick dark outline and select Rounded from the drop down list of Bevel Types on the Infobar. Click the To Inside and Round Join icons on the Infobar and move the Contrast slider to the right to 70%. Drag the Light Angle control arrow, in the center of the shape, in the opposite direction. This creates the impression that the thick dark line is recessed instead of raised.

Make a duplicate of the two text objects ( Ctrl D) and set them to one side.

Select the Bevel Tool and click on the WFT 928 text to select it. Select Chiseled from the Bevel Type drop down list. Click the To Outside and Round Join icons on the Infobar. Move the Contrast slider to the right to 70%. Select Size from the drop down list and change the size to 3. Press Enter on your keyboard to apply the size change.

Repeat these steps to add a Chiseled bevel to the CALIFORNIA text.
