Select the two white eye circles and change the fill
to RGB 153, 204, 255. With the eyes selected, select the Fill Tool. From the drop down list of Fill Types on the Infobar, select Linear. Drag the ends of the fill path arrows until the white is
at the top of the fill and the pale blue is on the bottom. Repeat for the bottom mouth portion but reverse the direction so the pale blue is on top. TIP: You can apply a Linear Fill without selecting Linear from the drop down list. Just click and drag. The fill starts with white and ends with the object's current fill color. You can drag either end of the fill path arrow in any direction. |
Draw five evenly spaced vertical lines.
The easiest way to do this is to draw one vertical line with the Shape Editor Tool, then drag and drop (drag and click the right mouse button to drop a duplicate) four duplicates. Select all five lines and open the
Align Objects menu (Arrange > Alignment) and align the lines top and Distribute the lines Equi-spaced (Horizontal Positions drop down list). With all five lines selected, select
Convert Line to Shape from the Arrange menu. Again from the Arrange menu, select Join. The five lines are now actually five rectangles and not outlines anymore.
In case you are wondering why the dark pink color for the face? I tried to find a generic color that represented all races. |
