Don't deselect the Ellipse Tool just yet. We need another circle, this one 164 pixels. (I made it red so you could see it was new).

Center the two large circles.

HOW TO: To align the two circles, select Alignment from the Arrange pull down menu to open the Object Alignment menu. Click once in the center of the preview window (with the colored shapes) to automatically horizontally and vertically center the two circles.

Drag a guideline from the ruler on the top of the screen down and under the nose circle.

Select the Shape Editor Tool and click once to the left of the red circle on the guideline and then once to the right of the red circle to create a horizontal line.

NOTE: You can also use the Pen Tool to do this.

We will use the horizontal line to separate the red circle into two shapes.

Select the red circle and the line (hold down the Shift key and click on each to multiple select).

From the Arrange menu, select Combine Shapes and from the fly out menu, select Slice Shapes.

Select just the top shape and delete it. We now have a mouth , nose, and eyes.

Select the mouth shape with the Selector Tool (the arrow icon on the main toolbar) then switch to the Shape Editor Tool.

Drag the top center outline of the mouth downwards a tiny bit as shown.
