And here it is, the completed brass lamp and green glass shade. Oh, one last thing. You know how I love to make the image into a bitmap and then clone the bitmap and apply a transparency? Well that is what I did here.
I converted the image to bitmap (Arrange > Make Bitmap Copy) and then applied an Elliptical, Stained Glass
transparency. I reversed the values making the center of the transparency 100% (total transparency) and the outside 0% (no transparency). This adds a rich, subdued quality to the light and the composition. The picture on the wall? That's last month's burger tutorial. I also added a Wall Shadow to the base which I centered directly below. I changed the color to a very deep violet which is at the opposite end of the color wheel from the warm yellow glow.
