Select the upper panel and the word XEALOT, and from the Arrange menu, select Combine Shapes -- Subtract Shapes. This removes the text like a cookie cutter from the panel. Make a duplicate of the top panel and using the Rectangle Tool , drag a ractangle around the type about the size of the black section shown here.With the rectangle centered over the text portion of the duplicate, Combine Shapes -- Intersect Shapes ( Arrange menu). Fill the shape Black, send it to the back and offset as shown in the cutaway. (The cutaway portion is for clarity only). This creates, what else? a cut-away look to the text.
