Right on the Button - A Vista-inspired Button Bar Microsoft Vista - It's a real love - hate kind of thing. There's a lot to like, and, well... One of the things I love a lot is the new translucent look. Menu title bars look as if they are made of clear translucent plastic. Whatever is below the title bar is blurred and out of focus. It's a most cool effect. This month's tutorial revisits the Button and Navbar Tool which never gets enough attention. It's a very powerful tool that many of us are not even aware is there. In this month's tutorial, we'll create a Vista-inspired button bar with four, 4-rollover-state buttons. This tutorial is for users of all levels but with the usual caveat that some knowledge of Xara or vector drawing programs is always helpful. The animation above simulates the results of this month's tutorial and was created in a matter of minutes with Xara OnLine's Cross-Fade Effect. Xara OnLine has dozens of cool effects which can add a bit of flair to your website. Xtreme Pro and Xara OnLine are an unbeatable combination. A Word from Our Sponsor:Xara makes several graphics products and all of them are fun and easy to use. And Xara makes this site possible so it would be nice if you just went to these pages and had a look see. Thanks. You are probably aware of Xara Xtreme but have you downloaded Xara Xtreme Pro? All the tutorials in this Workbook are done in Xtreme Pro, so if you don't have it, get it now.
Here are some other products made by Xara and links to the Xara.com Website.
