Make a duplicate of all the pieces and group them (Ctrl G).

Change the fill to black. With the group selected, select the Fill Tool and select Fractal Clouds from the Fill Type drop down list on the Infobar..

Click on the fill with the right mouse button. On the Infobar, change the Resolution to 60 and the Fractal Graniness to 9. Press Enter to apply the changes.

We will use this to create the striations in the glass.

NOTE: Most of the settings on the Infobar are not labeled. If you are not Psychic, just let your cursor rest over the various buttons and text entry boxes for a few moments and a tool tip with the name of the item will appear to enlighten you. No need to feel foolish, I still do this.

Select the group of shapes and from the Arrange menu, select Create Bitmap Copy. Set the Color Depth to True Color (24-bit) and the Resolution (in the Bitmap Size tabbed section) to 96 dpi. Press Create.

NOTE: Many of Xara's operations appear in a pop up menu when the right mouse button is clicked on an object. This list of options is context sensitive and is reflected in the pop up menu.
