NOTE: All animations in Flash need a start and ending Keyframe. The beginning
Keyframe in frame one is added automatically, the end Keyframe needs to be placed manually. Keyframes placed on the Timeline are the necessary element in Flash movies.
Objects on layers need to be the same and only one object to a layer. There is another kind of tweening called Shape, that involves two different objects on one layer, but this is more involved and beyond the scope of
this tutorial. Only the same objects on the same layer can have transparency or other Effects. |
Right click on frame 1 for the Circle Mask layer and select Create Motion Tween. NOTE: The pale violet color distinguishes a Motion tween from a Shape tween. The arrow indicates the length of the effect. |
Click inside frame 1 for the Circle Mask
layer. Open the Frame panel. (Window > Panels > Frame or Ctrl F) or (Frame from the Modify pull down menu for pre-5 versions). From the Rotate:
drop down list, select CW (clockwise). In the Times text entry box, key in 1. This will rotate the circle mask 360 degrees over the 30 frames of the movie. To see how this looks, press Enter
on your keyboard. You can start and stop any movie in Flash by pressing Enter and Enter again. |
