	Using the Fill Tool, apply a black to white Linear Fill. End of the fill just short of the center as shown. Repeat the fill to the other side reversing the order of the fill. Group the two halves. (Ctrl-G)


	Rotate a duplicate of the grouped shape 90 degrees. Shorten the height to the same height as the rectangle. Ungroup (Ctrl-U) the original shape (in between the front shape and the black rectangle) and reverse the order of the fill as shown on the right.
