Using the Freehand and Brush Tool drag a wavy line of bubbles from the bottom of the glass upwards. Change the width on Infobar to 6 pts.

Create more lines of bubbles changing the width to 6 pts.

Use the Random buttons in the Edit Brush dialog to vary the spacing and sizing.

NOTE: Xara saves some brush properties and not others. I like to get around this by copying a brush stroke once I am happy with it, and then using Paste Attributes (Shift Ctrl A or Edit > Paste Attributes) to apply the properties to a new path or paths.

NOTE: The better the Champagne, the smaller the bubbles. These bubbles (in retrospect) could even be smaller, perhaps 4 or 5 points.

Champagne flutes are very shiny and tend to reflect everything that is in front of them. We'll create some reflective shapes within a rectangle and then use Xara's Mould Tool to conform these objects to the shape of the glass.

Draw a rectangle 160 pixels wide by 400 pixels tall. The top should intersect the rim of the glass as shown on the left in red outline.

Create two white rectangles and place them in the left half of the large rectangle. Make some other smaller colored rectangles and place them on the right half of the rectangle.
