Select the checkerboard and resize it to fit the red reference circle. With the checkerboard circle still selected, select Convert To Editable Shapes from the Arrange Menu.
Click the Mould Tool icon and apply another Circular Envelope. Once again, convert the checkerboard circle to Editable Shapes. Very carefully, drag guidelines tangent to the red reference circle and the 2.25 inch outer square.
