Select the Shape Editor Tool. Click on the page. Hold down the Ctrl key and click the other end of a line and drag upwards. Switch to the Selector Tool (the arrow pointer) and in the W and H text entry boxes on the Infobar, enter 8pt for the W and 100pix in the H box (key it in exactly as spelled here) and press Enter to apply the change.

With the line still selected, open the Line Gallery (F12) and select Round Cap from the Set Line Cap drop down list. Switch to the Freehand and Brush Tool. From the Select an Existing Stroke Shape drop down list on the Infobar, select Convex 2. This will produce a tapered line as shown in the 2nd example above left. Clone the line (Ctrl k) and drag the bottom control handle upwards as shown in the 3rd example on the left above to make an inverted teardrop shape. Select both lines and Convert Line to Shape (Arrange menu). With both shapes selected, Arrange > Combine Shapes... Add Shapes.

Clone the shape (the minutes hand) then select the Shape Editor Tool. Drag a marquee selection rectangle around the pointer portion of the hand to select the control points. Press the down arrow key a few times to lower the pointer end of the hand as shown above to make the hours hand.

Rotate the hands so the hands represent 10 minutes after 10 O'clock.

TIP: Position the hands over the lines at the 12 O'clock position with the bottom portion of each hand extending down beyond the center. Click twice to enable rotate/skew mode, drag the center of rotation bulls eye to the intersection of the lines then rotate the hands as shown.
