With the Rectangle Tool (M), draw six small rectangles shown above in pale blue. These will be the roof, windows, and chimney for a distant home. The house itself will blend into the darkness so we do not need to draw it.

Hold down the Shift key (to select multiple objects), and click on the two roof rectangles (shown now in green). In the Skew Angle of Selection text entry box (shown above), key in 12 and press Enter (or Return) on your keyboard to apply the change.

Select the bottom left purple shape with the Selector Tool (the arrow pointer) then switch to the Shape Editor Tool (F4). Drag the top edge upwards a short distance to curve the top edge.
