We will be using Pixels as our units of measurement.

From the Utilities pull down menu select Options (or right click on the page and select Page Options from the pop up menu).

In the Units tabbed section (shown here) select Pixels from the Page Units drop down list. Check the radio button for 0-255.

 

In the Grid and Ruler tabbed section, change the Major Spacing to 100pix (key it in exactly like this with no space). Change the Number of Subdivisions to 10.

Flash, being primarily a Macintosh based product uses 72dpi as the default screen resolution. Xara X, being a Windows based product uses 96dpi screen resolution.

This results in size differences between an image displayed in Xara and the same image displayed in Flash.

To compensate for this, click the Scaling tabbed section. Check the Use Scale Factor check box. Enter 96pix in the Drawing text entry box, and enter 72pix in the Real World text entry box.
