For me, Xara 2's support for Adobe Photoshop compatible plug-in filters is reason enough to buy the product or upgrade from a previous version. The animation functions are icing on the cake. The following six examples are all the same Easter egg image, converted to bitmap, with six different plug-in filters applied (from the i/us The Filter Factory CD--click on the button on the next page to find out more about this kewel kollection).

With plug-in filters, you can take a very simple vector illustration and turn it into a work of art with the click (or two) of a button. You can use these filters on photographic images as well. I just like the added dimension it gives to bitmaps that began as Xara vector art.

I'll put three images on this page and the next to give you an idea. One final word of caution, these filters are habit forming. Once you get started, you may never quit!

As usual, your comments, criticisms, and kudos are always much appreciated in the Talk Room. See ya!
