Group all the elements in the fan shape. Draw a rectangle and use it to trim the bottom of the shape as shown using Combine Shapes--Subtract Shapes.Place the two fan shapes over the design as shown on the right. This is really easy isn't it? Don't worry about the colors right now because they're about to change.
