Select both the outline and the duplicate color photo. From the Arrange menu, select Combine Shapes > Intersect Shapes.

Everything outside the outline will be deleted leaving just the hand and wrench.

SHORTCUT: Right click on the two selected shapes, and select Combine Shapes from the pop up menu. Then select Intersect Shapes from the fly out menu.

Position the hand and wrench precisely over the hand and wrench on the blue-toned photo.

Apply a Flat, Linear Transparency.

(Select Linear from the Transparency Shape drop down list on the Infobar. Drag the fill path — the arrow — as shown so the non - transparent end is in the center of the hand and the transparent end ends slightly before the end of the hand image).
