I placed two rectangles behind the sphere. I selected the Clip Art Gallery--Photos, General 1 Photographs and imported Sunset 4. I selected the large rectangle, opened the Bitmap Gallery, clicked on the Sunset 4 image, then clicked Fill.

I converted the sphere to editable shapes, and ungrouped the elements. I applied a Circular Transparency to the blue fountain fill, with the center value about 90% and the outside value 0%. I applied a gray wood fill from the Fill Gallery - Wood folder the smaller rectangle to make a window sill. I applied a modest amount of transparency to lighten the gray wood. Finally I created a shadow shape, filled it deep violet, and applied a linear transparency. The type is Flemish Script with a pale yellow and gold ochre Linear Fill, placed on top of a duplicate with a 3 point deep red outline.

I'm pleased to announce that my chapters for CorelDRAW Studio Techniques are completed, as are those of my co-author Dave Huss. In all modesty, this is going to be one helluva book! Look for it in your favorite book store in January. Now if we could only convince someone to publish the Trompe L'Oeil Room tutorials! I'll make it a New Year's wish.

Your comments, question and compliments are always welcome. Merry Christmas to one and all! Finally, my sincerest thanks to Xara for their support and encouragement. Gary W. Priester
