AFTERTHOUGHT: I don't know why I never think of it before it's too  late, but placing the various elements on layers would be a splendid idea!

Whoa! There are a few step missing here!

For openers, I deleted the duplicate shape on top (with the Bleach transparency). It looked better without it. And I added a reflection to the left side and a modest reflection on the surface. But this last step is a tutorial unto itself.
