From the File menu, select Export Animation. Type in a file name, make sure that the File Type is Animated Gif, select a directory in which to save your image and click Save. Next you'll see the Export as Animated Gif dialog shown here. Xara 3D 2 lets you specify your final animation size in two ways. The Current Window Size saves the animation to the actual size you see. The Crop option crops tightly into the animated object. User Defined, permits you to specify an exact size for your animation. Set the settings as shown and click Save. What works well for me is to first select Current Window Size, writing down the measurements on paper, then selecting User Defined and mentally cropping the image.

Name and Save your animation as well so you can re-edit it in Xara 3D. Now it's onwards and upwards to Xara 2 for some post production work.
