If you've made it this far you really are a glutton for punishment! If it's any consolation, I had to do this about ten different times until I got to the point
where I could write coherently about it!Press the Preview Animation in Browser
button to launch your Browser and preview your animation. Pretty cool don't you think? Before we Export the animation, however, we need to make a few final adjustments. Press the Animation Properties button. Select the Animation Colors tab and make these changes: Check Global Optimize Palette
, set the Number of Colors in Palette to 32, and make sure that the Dithering option is set to None. Click Apply. NOTE: Using the Globally Optimize Palette options and 32 colors will produce a reasonably small file size. If your animation is going to be viewed by persons with both Windows and Mac computers, use the Browser Palette option. (All our colors
are web safe colors except the drop shadow and that seems to map fine in the Browser palette. The file size with the browser palette is a bit larger. Final step. At last! Press the Export Animation button. Name your file, make sure that Animated Gif is selected for the file
type — it is by default — select a folder in which to save your animation and press Save. And that should do it. On the next page you can see the results of all these repetitive tasks. |
