Stirling Moss
This image represents one of the first times I really immersed myself in Xara's capabilities. I had just finished creating Stirling Moss' website when my partner Donn Gurney suggested I create an original illustration to offer as wallpaper. After a tentative start, I found the Xara tools eminently flexible and controllable. It was while beginning this piece that I realized I could work just as I had with the airbrush, and the work flowed comfortably from there. I may rework this image in the future to give it more "grit".
