Corvette SR2
Every August for thirty years, the Monterey Historic Races have brought together the most famous cars and drivers of the twentieth century in a celebration of racing history. There is really nothing else to compare, and the event has been the source of many of my best ideas over the years. "Corvette SR2" is one example of the opportunities available to the artist there. The car reflects its surroundings: people, other cars, a rainbow-coloured canopy overhead, and the deep blue California sky, all come together to define the shape and details of the machine itself.
