Jack Brabham
This is a wallpaper image for F-1 World Champion Sir Jack Brabham's website. Sir Jack supplied me with some photos, including a promo card used to announce his double title as both driver and manufacturer. I then rendered the car with him in the cockpit, dressed in full racing garb. I have always gotten satisfaction from the older racing scenes because they require accurate representation of the driver to be completely successful. Sir Jack is a tough old bird, so I gave him a serious expression to convey the concentration employed in the moments before the waving of the green flag. From a technical point of view, the exposed workings of this typical mid-sixties grand prix machine were interesting to work on, especially the front suspension and tire treads.
