Covered in this month's Workbook: (Photo Fun with XPE—The Xara Picture Editor)

This month we have some fun with Xara X1's XPE (Xara Picture Editor). The June Xara X tutorial salutes Gary's 100th Xara tutorial. Chuck Currie shares his technique for creating realistic, puffy clouds in the June Guest Tutorial. The June Featured Artist Gallery presents the incredible and fantastic images of Mike Ovsianikov. If you would like to be considered for one of the group shows, e-mail me and let me know where I can see a few of your images.

I am accepting your contributions (Tips, Brushes, Templates, stuff like that). I'm starting to run out of ideas and could use your input. If your site has Xara graphics and is not listed, send me your link and a brief description of how you have used Xara on your site.

Xara X1 is here!!!

"Our goal is also to ensure that Xara X remains the fastest, highest graphics quality, easiest to use, best value drawing and illustration software there is. Period."
—Charles Moir

It's been a long time coming, but Xara X1 is finally here. Visitors to this site can download a 15-day trial copy here. Download Xara X1 Trial. It's more than an update although Xara Ltd. went down the list of bugs compiled in the Xara X Conference and just about every one has been addressed. There are some nifty new features as well including the XPE, The Xara Picture Editor which we'll explore today. Also supported now is CMYK TIFF export and the ability to export layers as a PNG file to edit in Photoshop.
