Step-By-Step
Select the ellipse at the top of the glass, and make a duplicate. (in Xara 1.5 you can drag and RIGHT mouse-button click to make a duplicate.) Hold down the Shift key and first drag the top middle control handles, and then drag the side center handles to make the duplicate evenly spaced all around, as shown with the enlarged red and blue ellipses. (The Shift key causes the re-sizing to originate from the object's center.) Select both ellipses and from the Arrange menu select Join Shapes. Apply a Conical Fill of 40% gray. Drag and rotate the Conical Fill handle until the white highlight is in front.
