Win Another Copy of Watercolor Backgrounds

This reminds me of an ad I did years ago when I was just starting my career as an art director. We had to do an ad for a local radio station's contest. The last time the station had had a contest they only had a few hundred entrants. I came up with the headline, You May Already Have Lost! 174 People Did in Our Last Contest!

Needless to say, if the ad had not worked, and worked very well, I might not have spent the next 25 years in advertising. I allow this digression into my tawdry past to make a point, there were only 21 entries for the first copy of the Watercolor Backgrounds CD. So the odds couldn't have been better. Whether the low number of entries was due to the new WebXealot format which many of you may not have discovered, or my lack of salespersonship on your editor's part, we'll never know, but just to be on the safe side, your editor (formerly the ad guy) had better do a better job this month or the folks at i/us may pull the plug on the free prizes — perish the thought!

The Watercolor Backgrounds CD contains an HTML document that you can open in your Browser and audition the many fills. Each thumbnail image links to a larger image. Text below each image provides file size information for the three resolutions, 72 dpi, 300 dpi and 450 dpi. The backgrounds (the 72 dpi images are considerably taller than the normal page) are arranged in five groups as you can see by the buttons on top of the page.
