More New Features

As my octogenarian Aunt likes to say, "Lookie, lookie, lookie!"

And as I like to say, WOW!

Finally, the multicolor fills we have been praying for.

Like CorelDRAW, you can drag colors from the palette onto the fill path arrows and create some truly spectacular fill effects.

The Color Picker (see below) is awesome.

The new Color Picker is illustrated on the right.

Drag the eyedropper icon from the Color Editor onto any color and the color is automatically updated in the Color Editor as well as in the selected object. The Color Picker works with vector and bitmap objects.

The Bitmap Export dialog has been completely overhauled making it a powerful and intuitive way to optimize color for the Web. Two different file formats may be previewed side-by-side to see which provides the best mix of low file size with image quality.

WebSnap Optimized, with which Fireworks users will be familiar, attempts to snap colors to the nearest Web-safe color.

Other new additions are conversions from RGB to Hexadecimal and vice versa, the ability to lock certain colors on the palette, the ability to make certain colors map to the closest Web safe color, and a lot more.

Are you getting excited? We're just getting warmed up!
