The buttons and icons have been redesigned in X1 to take advantage of Windows XP. While most old users will have no problem with recognizing the new buttons and icons, new users going though the old tutorials might be a bit confused. So here is a Rosetta stone that shows the old buttons and the snappy new buttons and icons. I've also included the keyboard shortcuts for those who prefer the shortcut to the mouse.

Most of the dialogs and icons have remained the same. But the Gallery icons have been updated. (The Gallery icons are found in the upper right area of the Infobar). Here are the old and the new Gallery icons.

Note: The Frames Gallery is grayed out in Xara X until an Animation Window is opened. While the Frames Gallery icon appears to be enabled in X1, it is only enabled when an Animation window is open.
