Use the Freehand Tool to draw a nice s-shaped curve as shown. With the line selected, select the Text Tool and click on the left end of the line. The insertion cursor should change to red indicating you can place text on a path. Key in HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO! Select all the text and change the font to a heavy sans serif face like the one shown here. Convert the text to editable shapes (Arrange -- Convert to Editable Shapes). Ungroup the text, delete the s-shaped line, and apply a Linear red to red Fountain Fill with the Alt Rainbow fill option as shown in the middle example. Make a duplicate of the text and convert it to bitmap and apply a SL-Blur with a setting of 10. Paste the blurred bitmap back into Xara, place the non-bitmap text on top and change the fill to white as shown.
