Making Hair - Make simple spiral, using Dmitry’s SPX Spiral Generator (you can download it for free here). Convert the spiral line to shape (Arrange menu) and apply a light cream fill color.

Apply a Rounded, Inner bevel, Contrast: 25%, Light Elevation: 30%. Convert the beveled spiral to editable shapes (Ctrl+Shft+S). Make lots of duplicate copies and tweak them into various shapes and sizes.  Arrange the duplicates to create hair.  Reverse some of them. When you are done, Group all the hair spirals.

Creating the Headband Draw a curved line to fit, increase line width as appropriate(my band is 24pt in Width).

Add some shapes for decoration. Apply a wall shadow and then Group all the headband elements.

Copy the head to clipboard.
