To make the image even more realistic we need some what we call in my country "white geese" which I believe are called "white caps" in English. Start by drawing an irregular shape, applying a Linear fill from white to light-blue, and some feathering. Copy the shape. Draw a couple more irregular shapes, and apply the attributes of the copied shape by pressing Ctrl+Shift+a. After that apply a Fractal Clouds , Mix transparency to each of the cap shapes. Now we just place these foamy white geese on the waves, one by one. Of course we also have to resize and rotate each shape so it will look just right and natural.

Also, the eye level is too high. I always have a problem getting the eye level correct from the beginning and so I am grateful for the flexibility of vector-drawings. Select all the sea objects. Resize the height until the size is about half to one-third of the whole picture.

Our image looks pretty good so far, don't you agree? Well the horizon doesn't look too realistic though. The transition is too sharp when the waves reach too the horizon without loosing any detail or perspective.
