Marble has a lot of veins running through it. To create these veins, use Xara's Freehand Tool, with Smoothing set to around 10. (We don’t want the veins to be very smooth.) Draw some squiggly lines. This is like doodling on a scratchpad in a meeting. Also create some slim shapes by drawing back along the line until you reach the starting point. This creates a realistic, thin-thick line. Use shades of gray instead of color because we will be applying color later.
