Wedding Poster Designs  When the Big Church of Alkmaar, Holland had to fund the restoration project, the building was opened to all kinds of cultural and social activities. Marriages could be performed in the church again with or without Christian blessing. So a company took over the affairs and ordered an illustration for a folder under construction. I borrowed the inspiration from a common wedding card to get an idea and made a series of sketches. Here are two examples put together to show what leaving out can lead to. In the end the folder was done by a family member of the commissioner and looked like a brothel poster with a bride leaning voluptuously over a sports car in the middle of the church. The transparencies of the dress on the left picture could have been done in this form only with the help of Xara.
