World Diamond Award Entry 2000/1  This entry for the World Diamond Award for the year 2000 of Jos Peperkamp from Alkmaar, Holland was not a winner, neither was the second entry. The drawing was a heavy job I only could perform with the help of CorelXARA without going halfway crazy. The idea was to simulate a shawl of woven flat gold thread draped in a knot around a women's neck. The structure was to be speckled with various shapes of small diamonds. I first delivered a 'flat' computer drawing without colour, just a sketch of the final shape, where Jos placed the diamonds. I took a photograph and used the picture to place the diamonds which were used in a combination of photograph with retouching done in Xara.
