EL SE 500 This drawing of a Mercedes Benz E500 series is based on a picture from a well known German automotive museum.

This drawing was the first time I used a different technique that was adopted as a standard for a lot of my graphics afterwards.

I made an outline drawing on tracing paper and scanned it. Then I imported it to Xara and redrew the lines using the Shape Editor Tool.

The shadows and color were done with various transparency masks.

The radiator was done with a special clipping technique that Xara offers.
