Markers Over at the SketchUp forums many users use Photoshop to manipulate SketchUp images. One common effect they use is to paint masking layers with brushes simulating some traditional media effects. For this image I decided to see if I could use Xara to make an image appear to have been coloured with markers. How I achieved the effect was to use simple stroked lines of varying line weights to mask out the edges of the various fields of colour. The very simple approach surprised me in its effectiveness. Also should I ever want a quick edge effect in another Xara drawing I can just copy over the stroked lines from this one and apply them on top of the new drawing.
