As usual I couldn't leave well enough alone. I duplicated the background, changed the colors to red and white as shown in the small inset, and applied a Diamond Transparency. I brought the cube top, and colored bands to the front. I created two diamond shapes (also shown) and applied a Diamond fill using the Alt Rainbow option and added a Diamond transparency. I created a second diamond shape, made a smaller duplicate, and applied a Diamond, Mix transparency.
That's it for this month. Hope you found the techniques helpful. I know I did. I was particularly pleased with how versatile the Fractal Cloud fill is and the various kinds of transparency effects. If I were going to have this image printed by a commercial printer, I would convert the image to a high resolution TIFF file. Sending this image with all the transparency to a service bureau as an EPS file would be a surefire way to get a contract put out for my life.
