BORDER FREEDOM After about two weeks working with Xara 1.5, I just started foolin' round with my digital pad. I began drawing an eye, I had no idea I would end up with this figure. During the time I was working on it there was some shocking news about some Mexicans that had been treated very badly at the border, in Texas. I conceived the idea of making the face of a Mexican. No scanning or tracing, just doin' it. I placed the figure in a paddy wagon. He's surrounded with mesh wire on the doors. I laid the lines on his face to give the viewer that understanding.
