©John Clements Brown and Caldwell Pumping Station White on white, plus some detail ... a tough challenge. Using slight hue-tints to white surfaces and shadows is one method. Trying to simulate the reflection for pipe elbows which bend sharply can be trying. I've found no simple, quick cure. Transparencies over gradient fills or blends of a thin, bright curved line to thicker, darker curved-line placed inside a ClipView are the only answers I been able to come up with. On the other hand, elbows that are 90 degrees or greater can be usually be rendered with simple elliptical or radial fills; a good example of this can be seen in the BNR illustration.
