Grit Removal Complex - View C - Cropped. This illustration was challenging because of the complexity of cement channels, cylindrical basins, gates, and pumps. Deciding where to provide cutaway sections was a "head-scratcher" . It was decided that the upper-right unit would be shown in its entirety along with flow arrows. The middle-unit would be sectioned to show its internal structure, channels, pumps, and gates; unfortunately, some elements were still obstructed. The exploded view at the lower-left was included to provide greater clarification. Thank goodness for Xara's awesome transparency effects.
