Vision Quest was designed for a Pacific Coast Gas Association seminar. It was to have a southwestern theme and so the Indian dream catcher was born. Trying to figure out how they tie the inside strings so I could illustrate it was the major obstacle. I started out with a circle and then added each individual piece of leather to wrap it. I used a bitmap fill that I photographed from a piece of leather for them. Then I added the inside string and the feathers. The top background was just done with layered transparencies and blended with a stock Xara fill for the foreground. The cactuses were straight from the Xara tutorial on the CD.  The logo in the middle was originally a small GIF file. I duplicated it so I could make it bigger without the jaggies.
