Fonts - these were all drawn in Xara X and each character exported as a hi-res GIF. Font Creator 5.0 does the rest. Individually: Bayou: A brush-like italic font with a 1950s American flavour. Blancmange: This was an attempt to use only quarter-circles and rectangles without looking too Art Deco. The name refers to a traditional English milk pudding, due to the jelly-mould shapes of some characters. Lunaire: The starting point for this was a circle containing an ellipse at an angle of 45 degrees. All the letterforms are derived from this shape. Brooklands: I wanted to create a font with a strong 1930s British flavour to use as an alternative to Gill Sans. Ovolo: This was my first font design. Unusually, it's based on a horizontal ellipse, and all the characters are the same width (although spacing varies)
