Step-By-Step
Add a linear fill to the top of the hat and brim. Make the second ellipse under the brim dark yellow and drop it down a tad to add an edge to the brim. To spruce up Smiley Mom’s chapeau we’ll add a jolly flower. Use the Freehand Tool, with the Smoothing slider set to 10, to draw five different shaped petals. Linear Fill each as shown on the single petal here. Make a circular arrangement of five or six petals. Select the group, make a duplicate set, resize smaller and rotate. Repeat for a smaller third set.
Put the flower on Smiley Mom’s hat and the hat on Mom.
