Step-By-Step

Set the branches aside for the moment. Change the Media Pen setting to the Tear Drop pen and the thickness to .06". Draw a bunch of needles freehand until you've filled most of the background. Fill these slightly darker than the background green and set the Line width to none. Select a group of needles and give them a deeper green fill.
